Need Firewire cable for Sony DCR-HC21 DV to connect to a Macintosh.?

Can anyone tell me what to look for and where to get it? I have this camera for almost 2 months, but I have yet to find a compatible cable to download my video onto my Macintosh computer. Please help… anyone? Thank you in advance!

the camcorder uses a 4-pin cable but you have to know what you mac uses. it’s going to be either a 4-pin or a 6-pin. once you know what your mac uses, you can just go and purchase the cable from any electronic store (radio shack or something).

if you want to get the cable directly from sony, model number for the cable is VMCIL4415 for a 4-pin to 4-pin and VMCIL4615 for the 4-pin to 6-pin. the link is below…
