Help with home 3d polarized cinema.?

I have recently set up a small 3d home cinema with two projectors, filters, silver screen etc. it all works fine except I dont know where to buy or download films to watch. the films need to be the same type of films you see ina cinema not the red and blue ones.

thanks

Unfortunately, there is a not a lot of compatible content out there.

The best 3D Video player to use for a dual projection system is Peter Wimmer’s Stereoscopic Player @ http://3dtv.at/

Some software players like Power DVD Ultra are now supporting the playback of 3D Blu-Ray movies via your PC.. unfortunately, they do not support playback on dual-projection systems (even though it is possible to achieve technically speaking).

You can watch 3D TV however. Simply get a capture card for your PC, and hook it up to your 3D TV source (e.g. connect to your cable box and watch a 3D Cable channel like ESPN 3D). Then open up Peter’s Stereoscopic Player and select the Live Video capture option and then set it to side-by-side 3D mode (you may have to fool around with the L/R eye settings to get the correct 3D mode).

Hopefully a dual-projection solution for 3D Blu-Rays will come out soon. I have thought perhaps that I might contract an engineer to build a HDMI 3D demultiplexer for myself for this very reason, but I have no idea what costs would be involved.

It is possible to watch the 3D “field-sequential” and “Sensio” DVDs (available from Amazon) using your projection system through the Stereoscopic Player. Note however that field-sequential and Sensio discs are half-resolution 3D, meaning each eye only receives a 240i/p video resolution compared to the 480i/p resolution of a standard DVD disc (and the much higher 1080p resolution of a Blu-Ray disc). Sensio Discs generally look better than field-sequential discs because they have a more sophisticated algorithm to encode the 3D video.
