How do I remove blue tack stains from my wooden wardrobe?
Some of the blue tack was actually white tack, which seems to be a great deal stickier.The blue tack was left on for quite some time as it was sticking on postcards etc. Also, if I wanted to use blue tack on the surface again, is there a way I could prevent it staining? For example a pretreatment?
I already managed to get all the blue tack off, using the method that you described- another wad of the stuff; but it’s the stain that has been left that I’m concerned about.
Perhaps you could try rubbing the stain with a soft cloth dabbed in a bit of olive oil. Work it into the wood to hopefully loosen and absorb the stain into the oil. Then a dry soft cloth to clear away any residue oils.
