Processor Speed Law

What is the best MacBook/MacBook Pro when using Final Cut and Logic on a budget of £1500?
I’m looking to buy a MacBook for the use of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro. Taking into account factors of speed and convenience (screen size for editing) when using these programs, what is the best configuration available on a budget of £1500?
In particular, is screen size between 13″ and 15″ noticeably different on use of these programs or are the RAM and processor differences more important?
Thanks for any help,
Andy Law.

Look in the Refurbished section. Quality is as good as new, sometimes even better since these actually go through inspection.
2.4/2GB/250GB for 1029.
2.66Ghz/4GB/320GB, 15.4 for 1299.
2.93/4GB/320 for 1429.
2.66/4GB/128GB SSD for 1479.
2.8/4GB/128GB SSD for 1499.
If it were me, I’d get the 2.66. Though you can buy the 2.4 for 1029, use the money on upgrades, and end up in the same area.
Apple’s SSDs suck. Buy a good one somewhere else for performance boost (2-3x faster than 7200rpm drives). Apple’s hard drives in these Pro machines are still 5400rpm, so get at least a 7200rpm elsewhere. Bad choices by Apple.
SSD option is optional. The regular hard drive upgrade is necessary.
