Processor Speed Ghz Vs Mhz

Laptop FSB speed vs. Clock speed?

I am trying to decide between the Sony Vaio VGN-BZ569P40 and the Sony Vaio VGN-SR390PFB. I am leaning towards the P40 because it has a higher clock speed at 2.66 GHz compared the to 2.53 GHz of the PFB. However, I noticed that the P40 has a L2 Chache of 2 MB and a FSB speed of 533 MHz whereas the PFB has a L2 of 3 MB and an FSB of 1066 MHz. They both use Intel Core 2 Duo Processors.

Which one is the better choice? I will be using it for school and business mostly, along with some multimedia.

i’d get the lighter, more battery efficient one. there’s absolutely no way you can tell the difference between 2.66 and 2.53. even with benchmarking softwares, you still won’t be able to. the 2.66 comes with intel vPro, knowing intel it’s probably marketing crap that will slow your computer down with extra softwares anyways

the 2.53 has a higher cache, which usually help in most cases. dont worry about he fsb.
