I know I won’t use more than 100GB of data storage on the hard drive and the size doesn’t matter to me… is it worth $80 to get the more expenseive 2GB memory as opposed to the 1GB memory? Also, the more expensive one has Vista installed on it – but Acer offers a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it becomes available.

Or do you think I’m going the wrong path entirely and should look at a different option? Basically, I need to be able to access the Internet, use Microsoft Office 2007 and a few other minor applications. Any input is appreciated! Thanks!!!
I must add that I have a budget of just $400 to work with. The plan is to get a nice desktop in 9 months to a year. I need something to work on that I can afford now.
