3d Studio Max Character Modeling

what programs do pro artists use for 3d modelling?

There’s daz and 3d studio max. But do they use such programs or do they build their characters from scratch?

I don’t do much animations, but for 3D stills, I rely on Adobe Dimensions. Not so good for building organic characters, however. I still prefer to design my character illustrations on paper, Photoshop and Illustrator.
