SURFACE AREA OF A PRISM PROBLEM?

We have to make hard problems ourselves, then solve them for geometry on surface area and volume of 3d figures. How would i solve this problem that i made up on surface area of a prism?

1a. For her birthday Ms. Smith got an iPhone. The box is a rectangular prism and 13.3cm x 7.8cm x 5.2cm. What is the surface area of the box?

1b. How much wrapping paper was used to wrap the box if the wrapping paper overlapped by 2cm?

Is that even possible to solve???

1a. The formula is 2(l x w) + 2(w x h) + 2(l x h)
Therefore 2(13.3 x 7.8) + 2(7.8 x 5.2) + 2(5.2 x 13.3)
= 207.48 + 81.12 + 138.32
= 426.92cm squared

1b. I guess add two onto that, so 428.92cm squared.

Hope this is useful.

Peace.
