3d Champagne Bottle
help needed with 3d cake idea please?
I’m trying to make a 3d champagne bottle which is standing up at an angle from the top of a flat square cake. However to make it bottle shaped the neck is quite thin, so when I stand it up diagonally, it isn’t supported and starts to break off. Anyone got any ideas how I can get it to stay supported at an angle please?
Get a long wooden dowel from the hardware store and carefully drive it through the center of the bottle cake and into the base cake. This should give it enough strength and stability to to hold up on an angle depending on the size of cakes. If not you may want to try making the bottle out of rice crispy treat and frosting it to match the cake base. You can form the rice crispy bottle around the dowel. The rice crispy treat material needs to packed tightly.
