How can you see live wild animals without scaring them off; particularily a jaguarundi?
We have a jaguarundi living under a shed behind our house. Guests have said they’ve seen it before and we would like to see it, and if possible photograph it. Any ideas how we can see it without scaring it off and possibly take a picture of it?

You have a jaguarundi living under a shed??!! First off…I really doubt it’s a jaguarundi. They are very, very shy, and very, very rare.
In fact if you do have a jaguarundi living on your property, I wouldn’t tell ANYONE.
They are on the endangered species list. You can have environmentalist doing all kinds of nasty little things to you in court of law to prevent you from doing a thing on your property that might scare, or harm the jaguarundi in any way shape or form.
I have an endangered animal that thrives on the habitat my permaculture farm provides, but I don’t tell ANYONE, because I don’t want environmentalist getting whack job injunctions against my farm.
You will probably find it’s a feral cat. Even if you do find it’s a jaguarundi, if you are very wise, you will NOT tell your neighbors. Tell them it’s a feral cat.
It does not mean you have to harm it in any way shape or form….it just means you shouldn’t tell people if an endangered animal makes your property its home. You could end up being very sorry.
